Bougie Bingo Night

The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 hosts a Bougie Bingo Fundraiser benefiting the students of District 58. It’s an evening filled with laughter, excitement, and the spirit of giving back as all funds raised during Bougie Bingo will directly benefit the students and staff of Downers Grove District 58 by funding grant programs, resources, and student events. It's a win-win, enjoy a great night out and support a fantastic cause!

Bi-Annual Harlem Wizards Basketball Event

Experience the magic of the winter season at Downers Grove South High School with our beloved community event! The Harlem Wizards bring together staff members, public figures, and the community for a thrilling, interactive, and competitive family experience. Join us as the Community Team takes on the world-famous Harlem Wizards, with participants including police officers, firefighters, the Mayor of Downers Grove, state representatives, and teachers/staff. Mark your calendars and join in the fun on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Downers Grove South High School! 

Annual Oktoberfest Fundraiser

In mid-September, the arrival of Fall is celebrated with Oktoberfest! This festive event offers an array of authentic German delicacies from local vendors and establishments, as well as beverages for both adults and children. There are also plenty of activities for families to enjoy, including the Kids Zone and fun contests like the Brat & Donut Eating Contests. Additionally, there is a diverse range of live music performances, including Polka, Classic Rock, and local children's talents. Don't miss out on the opportunity to join in the Kids Karaoke and more!

Grove Express 5K

The Grove Express Foundation proudly hosts the annual Grove Express 5K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning. This cherished event raises funds to support education and youth programs that directly benefit Elementary School District 58 and Community District 99 high schools, including Downers Grove North and Downers Grove South.

In 2021, three local organizations came together to preserve and continue the tradition of this beloved Thanksgiving Day event. Representatives from The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58, the Rotary Club of Downers Grove, and the Roadrunners Soccer Club united to create the Grove Express Foundation, now an official 501(c)(3) organization. 

Dedicated to the Downers Grove community, the foundation’s mission is to invest in education, youth initiatives, and scholarships, ensuring a lasting positive impact.
